Safety & Supervision
- I agree that Blast Sports Sydney (BSS) is not responsible for supervision of my child/children before or after a lesson or holiday camp has officially commenced/finished.
- At all times coaches will be under instruction to take all safety precautions as priority 1 in all situations including Covid-19 social distancing and hygiene set out by Australian government health orders.
- BSS Coaches have completed a NSW police criminal and working with children checks.
Insurance:
- BSS has Tennis Court, Tennis Coaching and Lesson public liability insurance under the coach insurance schemes of Tennis Australia coach membership and business affiliation.
- This insurance is for public liability, products liability, property damage and professional indemnity under Tennis Australia’s underwriter, Sportscover Australia Pty Ltd.
- I understand that insurance cover in our coaching services may not cover my child/children for all injury, loss or damage sustained by him/her.
Payment Terms
- Term lessons fees are due before the start of each term.
- It is costly to chase late payments, so please make sure payments are made by due dates.
- Insurance does not apply so players will not be allowed to attend without enrolment completed.
Training Shirts
- For all training classes, junior players are expected wear an academy training shirt
- Players after one warning will not be allowed on court
- For photos and videos, it is important that all players wear these training shirts
Group Lessons – 10 week term
Term Fees
- Players are expected to attend all 10 weeks in a term.
- If a player is injured or have holidays planned during a term, full term fees are payable and make-up lessons for these 2 reasons can be booked to replace the weeks missed by special arrangement.
Wet Weather
- Wet weather cancellation notifications will be delivered by Text (SMS) message 90-120 minutes before start times where possible.
- Unfortunately, we are unable to provide make up sessions to customers who assume lessons are cancelled due to wet weather if the lessons are held.
- If you have not received a text message the lessons will proceed.
Make-up Sessions
- Players will OFFICIALLY receive make-up lessons for all wet weather lessons EXCEPT for the first lesson each term cancelled due to rain.
- Officially there are no makeup lessons for any absence, but the academy will do everything possible to provide make up lessons during the relevant term or following school holidays
- Players will be offered lessons to make up for absence for any reason, where there are spaces available at other session times in a suitable class on any days in the current or next term.
- Blast Sports will notify players of make-up lessons if there are more than 1 washout in a term.
Refund & Credit
- All refund requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
- BSS reserves the right to issue account credits or cash refund.
Injury Credit Policy
- Players who are injured and unable to participate in may receive a credit for their missed sessions.
- Credits must be used the following tennis term.
- Alternatively, the remaining sessions can be transferred to a family member or friend.
- All injuries must be accompanied with a valid medical certificate covering date/s of the lessons/s missed.
Private Lessons
The coach
- A private coach may be substituted with replacement coach of similar level up to 2 times per term.
Wet Weather
- Wet weather cancellation notifications will be delivered by Text (SMS) message 90 minutes before start times where possible.
- All private lessons cancelled due to wet weather will be made up.
- Lessons missed due to not checking with coach and the lessons are held cannot be made up.
- If you have not received a text message the lessons will proceed.
- Players should contact the coach direct for all private make-up lessons due to rain.
Cancellations
- Private Lesson cancellations must be communicated directly to the coach, the day prior to the commencement of a class otherwise the full fee is payable.
- For private lesson bookings for a full term, the court-hire fee must be charged to your account as the court-hire fees to the court owners are paid by the term.
- Players who fail to notify BSS are ineligible for make-up sessions or refund.
- It is up to the player to book a make-up lesson directly with their coach.
- Players who are injured may receive a credit for their missed sessions.
- All injuries must be accompanied with a valid medical certificate covering date/s of the lesson/s missed.
Payments
- All 10 week term private lessons must be paid 2 weeks before the start of a term.
- By special arrangement, private lessons can be paid for in 2 installments.
- Single private lessons can be paid for on booking.
Holiday Camp Programs
Wet Weather Policy
- Holiday camps will proceed wet or fine.
Cancellations
- Cancellations must be communicated to BSS, 72 hours prior to the commencement of the holiday camp.
- Players who fail to notify Blast Sports are ineligible for make-up sessions or refunds.
- A cancellation/administration charge of 25% applies.
Refund & Credit Policy
- All refund requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
- Blast Sports reserves the right to issue account credits or a cash refund.
- Credits will only be considered for players who have incurred major illness or hospitalisation.
- All injuries must be accompanied with a valid medical certificate covering date/s of the lessons/s missed.
- Alternatively, the camp sessions can be transferred to a family member or friend.
Consent to Use Image
- In consideration of my participation in tennis lessons or camp, I agree to BSS taking and retaining and reproducing the registered applicants image or likeness obtained during my (their) participation in tennis lessons in photographs, electronic images, sound recording, clips and video footage placed on our website, social marketing associations or brochures media without notice and without any fee being paid to you, for the purpose of BSS promotional, advertising, research or marketing materials, unless it can be clearly shown that the publication thereof were maliciously caused, and produced solely for the purpose of subjecting me to ridicule, scandal or indignity.
Medical
- Parents authorise BSS to obtain medical assistance, treatment and transport as deemed necessary by Blast Sports and acknowledge that they will be responsible for any costs associated with any such medical treatment and/or transportation.
- I understand that I/my child/children should not participate in this event/events unless responsible, educated, and social and in a fit state to complete the event safely. I acknowledge that if I am aware of an existing medical condition and uncertain of my child’s state of fitness then a medical practitioner should verify the child’s physical condition.
- I have provided or attached to my entry form details of any medical or physical conditions from which my child suffers that might affect his/her performance or be relevant if medical treatment is needed.
- I accept the risk of participating despite these conditions. I have supplied an emergency contact name and number; this person is contactable both during and after the event and is not another participant.
Behaviour, Damage, Property
Conditions of Entry
- Participants must behave appropriately and follow the lawful directions of BSS at all times.
- Derogative comments, abusive language and inappropriate or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
- BSS reserves the right to refuse entry to any person or remove any person from its events.
Damage
If participant causes any damage to property/facilities/equipment they may be held responsible for all costs associated with replacement or repairs whichever is decided by BSS.
Personal Property
Participants are responsible for their own property at all times. Blast Sports does not accept any responsibility for any property that is stolen, lost, or damaged at BSS.
Declaration, Waiver and Indemnity
Release and Indemnity
I acknowledge that coaching, competitions, camps, and all other events conducted by Blast Sports Sydney P/L, expose my child/children to certain risks when using the facilities, including but not limited to physical injury and death, psychological abuse, or permanent injury, arising from various causes such as overexertion, equipment, food consumption, transport, dehydration, accidents with other competitors, spectators or road users, weather conditions and other causes. All entrants enter Blast Sports programs at various centres/venues/facilities at their own risk.
In consideration of the applicant’s participation in Blast Sports programs, I agree to release, defend, hold harmless and indemnify Blast Sports Sydney P/L and its directors, officers, employees, and volunteers from any actions, claims, demands, expenses howsoever arising from any injury, loss or damage incurred in connection with my child’s/children’s participation in BSS programs. This release shall extend to and include Tennis New South Wales and Tennis Australia, event organizers and their respective directors, partners, managers, officers, agents, contractors, employees, and volunteers including event medical and paramedical personnel. This release and indemnity continues forever and binds my heirs, executors, personal representatives, and assigns.

BSS is strongly committed to protecting your privacy. We will only store information relevant for coaching and billing purposes. This information is only accessible by BSS management.
